HOTEL REVIEW The Code Hotel ****

I stayed at the The Code Hotel for 6 nights (September). The hotel is near the Spanish steps (4-minute walk). Here is my hotel review of the “The Code Hotel **** “.

Reception

The reception is the first thing you’ll encounter. It’s small but lovely. The receptionist will help you with your visit to Rome on what to do or not (if you didn’t read my blog let’s say 😉 ). They have a luggage room available and you can freshen up in the bathroom near the reception if you have your return flight later in the day.

Price: We paid €137 per night excluding breakfast (as we sometimes went to a breakfast place) with booking.com

Restaurant & Breakfast

The hotel has a restaurant although we didn’t make use of it. The breakfast is a buffet where you have yogurt, granola, eggs, bacon, bread, pies, toast, and muffins. A bit on the expensive side of what you get.

Rooftop Bar

For the rooftop bar, you do need to buy your drinks at the ground floor and bring them up to the rooftop yourself. But quite the spacious rooftop where you can enjoy reading a book or relax from your day.

Bedroom

We had one of the smaller bedrooms so the bedroom wasn’t that spacious. We had a desk with a chair, a minibar, and a closet. At night we could hear the cars and Vespa from the street so our room wasn’t soundproof (even with ear plugs). The bathroom was okay with a minor leak from the toilet. The shower was small and didn’t have a privacy door (see-through).

Fun fact: There is shampoo and body wash available.

Wellness area

You have to reserve the wellness of the Hotel upfront and it will cost you €35 for 2 hours. You will have access to a rainforest shower, a sauna, a hot tub, and refreshments. You will receive your bathrobes and slippers just before you can enter the wellness in your room. When we were there, the hot tub was not 100% working so that was a bit of a bummer. The price was therefore a bit pricy in comparison to what you get.

Fun fact: What makes the wellness area so special? You can still see some ancient ruins from back in the day.

So this was my Hotel Review of The Code Hotel. I hope I have given you a better look at the hotel.
