Mechelen muurt: Streetart in Mechelen

Mechelen has the walking tour ‘Mechelen Muurt’. This is a walk along ten works by international street art artists.

What is Mechelen Muurt?

The Mechelen project was conceived by former street art artist Gijs Vanhee. He invited ten artists to brighten up the walls of Mechelen. Vanhee himself also made a mural, a prominent lion with the title ‘The Gift’.

Art route Mechelen: free street art

Another fun walking tour in Mechelen is the art route. In the center of Mechelen, ten electrical boxes have been stickered to make people enthusiastic about art. The initial audience was kids but it is actually for everyone.
