4 must do’s in Kos | Greece

During my holidays in Turkey, I did a 1-day excursion to Kos. The island is only a 20-minute ferry ride away from Bodrum. Here are my must do’s when in Kos.

P.S. Check out my Instagram for more photos!

1) Bike or Walk

The city is very touristy. Just grab a bike and explore the rest of the Island!
We took a small train to go around the city. During the train ride, you’ll see archeological sites, small towns and Kos city.

2) Asklipieion

Go to Asklipieion, the best-preserved archeological site on the island. Asklipieion was once a spa. We couldn’t do this as we were for only 1 day in the city.

3) Castle of Neratzia

When you enter the city by boat, you’ll see the castle of Neratzia. The castle used to be open for the public but is now closed due to a hazard of collapsing.

4) Kos city

Many tourists go to Kos city when they are in Bodrum. Make sure to walk along the beach, eat a delicious dish, visit some shops in small streets and discover Hippocrates’ Plane Tree.

Fun Fact: Hippocrates was born on this island!

The city is very touristy and is not really a city where you’ll find culture. It’s way too touristy for me but I think it would be perfect for those who want a vacation to just relax, swim, sunbathe and eat.
