HOTEL REVIEW Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort ****

My parents and I stayed at the Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort for 1 night (July).  The hotel is located in Lombok, near a viewpoint over Bali and Mount Agung. Here is my hotel review of Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort.

Reception

Before entering the reception, you’ll have to check your bags through a detector like the ones you see at the airport. Lombok has had some bombings in the near past and you can still see some security reasons in response. I don’t mind, it makes me feel safe! When you enter the reception, it feels like a small museum. There are paintings and artifacts that you can admire while waiting for check-in. The reception desk has a small donation box to help save the turtles, which I liked! More about that, later on!

Restaurant & Breakfast

So breakfast was just amazing. The buffet had everything: fruits, pancakes, noodles, rice, chocolate fountain, and more. There is also an employee who started playing the piano which just makes breakfast even better. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel, but we went to several restaurants on the beach next to the hotel. Those were fine and had everything a tourist wants: local food and western food.

Bedroom

The bedroom is of normal size. We had a desk with a chair, a minibar, and a terrace. The bathroom was good and fulfilled our needs.

Fun fact: There is shampoo and body wash available.  

Swimming pool

The swimming pool was also super! One giant pool, decorated with pillars (that will have a flame in the evening) and one giant Face which turned out to be a water slide!

Fun fact: The pool is next to the beach, so you can choose between the two of them.

Beach

The beach was okay but what I really loved the most is that the hotel has its own beach cleaners. Senggigi Sheraton finds it a shame that people are polluting the oceans because it can harm the turtles and marine life, but it also destroys the beautiful beaches. The beach cleaners of Senggigi Sheraton don’t only clean the beach in front of the hotel but the whole bay area. Thumbs up for them!

Fun Fact: Senggigi Sheraton also has its own turtle sanctuary where they help hatch turtle eggs and release the turtles when they’re old enough!
