Gear Review | Smartphoto XL Photo album
As a travel blogger, I do not only keep my travel diaries online, I also like them in my hands. Call me a bit old school, but I still prefer photo albums. Here’s my review of the Smartphoto XL Photo Album.
A couple of years ago, we lost our digital photos of our trip to the Dominican Republic. Only the ones we printed out were left (not so many). From then on, we decided to always make a printed photo album just in case our digital photos would be lost one day.
As the digital era grew I got to meet Smartphoto. Smartphoto is a website where you can buy photo products online such as agendas, canvas, cards, calendars, phone cases, schoolbags, mugs, clothing, cushions and many more! I like the photo albums the most as they’re of superb quality!
I’m so happy with the service of Smartphoto, that I always buy my photo products with them. For the moment I have 6 photo albums, numerous photo prints, 3 year-calendars and 1 agenda from them. Calling me a loyal customer of Smartphoto? You are damn right!
How to Smartphoto?
Super easy to make! You go to www.smartphoto.be and select the photo album you want. I always pick the XL photo album square with a photo cover. When you’ve chosen your album, you should follow the next steps.
- Open the Smartphoto online editor and check out your empty photo album.
- Choose the background color of your album (I always pick light green as it is a neutral and subtle color but it also makes my photos shine more)
- Upload your photos
- Design your album by choosing the right templates (3 photos on 1 page, 5 on the other for example).
- Save it and watch a preview.
- Order it & pay for it
- Wait for the mailman to deliver your package!
- Enjoy your photo album with family and friends!
As you can see below, the quality is superb as long if your photos are of good quality! If you have photos of bad quality, don’t expect them to evolve in high-quality photos. All of my wildlife photos just look so much better in a Smartphoto photo album than on my computer. The color comes out great and the shine gives a nice feeling when turning the page!
Delivery?
Long waiting time? It depends on the festivities (holidays in December) or the number of orders! I, for instance, ordered my album before the 15th and received it before Christmas! Quite fast if you ask me.
Protection?
Your package is totally damage proof! You receive your album in a box, in which the album is already wrapped in bubble wrap.
Last year I ordered some albums (Thailand, Cambodia & Bali) and I saw that the binding was ripped. I sent an e-mail to Smartphoto and they immediately send me another album free of charge! They also provide this kind of service whenever you have a spelling mistake in your album. What a service!
Smartphoto Discount?
Smartphoto gives its customers lots of discounts during the year! You just have to create an account on Smartphoto and subscribe to their e-mails. Whenever there is a discount, Smartphoto will let you know! Me for instance, I always buy my photo albums in September or December because then there are discounts on the XL photo albums!
Perfect Christmas Gift?
YES!!!! I made a photo album and gave it as a gift to my mother who absolutely loved it! You give a gift that is personal and made with love!
