HOTEL REVIEW Seri resort ****
My parents and I stayed at the Seri Resort for 2 nights (July). The hotel is located in Gili Meno, the most peaceful Gili island. Here is my hotel review of Seri Resort.
This hotel is located in Gili Meno with a pearly white beach, turquoise sea, and tropical mountain scenery. The hotel has a swimming pool, a yoga and wellness center, a restaurant and a roof terrace with a lounge for cocktails with a view. When arriving with the ferry, you’ll have to board another boat (so from the ferry to a smaller boat), that will bring you ashore. Once on the beach, your hotel will come to get you with the taxi (a horse with a cart).
Reception
The reception is the first thing you’ll encounter. It’s small but lovely. On arrival, we had the pleasure of receiving a welcome drink. The reception is open with immediate access to the swimming pool.
Restaurant & Breakfast
Breakfast is on the second floor with a view over Gili Air and Lombok. In the evening you’re able to eat on the beach with an option to join a barbeque.
Bedroom
The bedroom is quite small, especially when you think they were going to put a small mattress on the ground (like on a sun lounger). We immediately said we ordered a room for 3 grownups. They agreed that a grownup couldn’t sleep on such a mattress and gave us a second bedroom (that’s why I have two photos of our bedroom below). The beds were amazing to sleep in for the record! The villa has also a terrace with a sofa.
Swimming pool
The swimming pool was small but the temperature was great! There are pool towels and sun loungers available.
Fun fact: There is a lower part of the swimming pool, where you can lay down and be half covered in water. Ideal condition to read your book while cooling down.
Fun Fact: There is also a swing in front of the hotel where you can take a photo with Lombok and Gili Air in the background.
Beach
The swimming pool is located on the beach. Don’t try to step on the beach barefoot because the “sand” consists of small pieces of corals. Wear surf shoes or slippers (also during your swim).
Fun Fact: Just go swimming around 10 AM, that’s when the turtles are most active! We saw one in front of our hotel, eating sea grass.
Warning: You’ll have to watch the low tide. Never go swimming when the tide is low because the depth of the water gets to 30 cm and the waves will just smash you on that lovely “sand” and you’ll be bleeding (all the guests of the hotel had it).
So this was my Hotel Review of Seri Resort. I hope I have given you a better look at the hotel.
