Who is the Passion?

Hi !

I’m Laure, a small-town girl from Belgium with a dream to travel around the world! My mom was a flight attendant & my father worked in the hotel business. As a family, we’ve been on multiple trips around the world, where they taught us everything from how to bargain a deal, watch-outs, do’s and don’ts, what to bring, and much more.

In the meantime, I’ve travelled to 37 countries (and counting). I started a travel blog to pass down everything I’ve learned and to share my must-dos and don’ts, tips, budget tricks, and travel inspiration with others!

Life of a Passion?

“Where does the name come from?” I get that question so often.

Everyone has a hard time pronouncing our last name, PASSCHYN. From checking into hotels, making reservations, etc. So I put our name in Google Translate, put the setting on English, and pressed the sound button to hear how Google would pronounce it. Three good guesses? PASSION.

Obviously, I told my friends about this & they found it so funny that they started to call me the Passion. And they were right! Everything I do, I do it with Passion (Passchyn). The name stuck, and I transformed it into Life of a Passion (Life of a Passchyn) for my travel blog.
