11 Must do’s in Da Nang | Vietnam
Nestled along Vietnam’s central coast, Da Nang is a vibrant city. From golden beaches and dramatic mountains to rich cultural sites and buzzing night markets. In this article, I’ll take you through the must-do activities and places to visit in Da Nang.

1) Amusement Park Sun World bana hills
You reach Bana Hills via a cable car. The ride offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and is an experience in itself. The park operates daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Price Adults: VND 750,000, Children (1m – 1.4m): VND 600,000, Children <1m: Free.
Golden Bridge
The most photographed spot in Ba Na Hills is the Golden Bridge. A 150-meter-long pedestrian bridge held aloft by two giant stone hands.
French Village
A meticulously crafted replica of a medieval French town.
Le Jardin D’Amour
This garden complex comprises nine themed gardens, each offering a unique ambiance. From romantic rose gardens to zen-inspired spaces.
Fantasy Park
Fantasy Park is Vietnam’s largest indoor amusement park, including 4D cinemas, rock climbing, and arcade games.
Alpine Coaster
An exhilarating ride through the lush landscapes of Ba Na Hills. This gravity-driven ride twists and turns down the mountainside, providing both excitement and scenic views.
Linh Ung Pagoda
This pagoda is home to a 27-meter-tall white Buddha statue, offering a place for reflection and spiritual connection amidst the natural beauty of the mountains.
2) Lady Buddha & Linh Ung Pagoda
The white statue of Lady Buddha on the Son Tra Peninsula is visible from nearly the entirety of My Khe Beach. Free to visit and you’ll have an amazing view of Da Nang and the ocean.
3) Wild Monkeys
The Son Tra Peninsula is also known as Monkey Mountain because of the wild monkeys residing. Tip: They are wild, they will try to snatch objects. Give them space.
4) Marble Mountains & Am Phu Cave
The Marble Mountains and Am Phu Cave are at the same site, about 10 minutes south of Da Nang’s beachside. The cave is on the ground level, and the mountains are above it. The mountains are a half day trip.
Tip: both require a separate entrance ticket.
5) My Khe Beach
My Khe Beach is several kilometers long, most of which has a paved walking path (great for jogging and evening strolls).
6) My Son Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is a half-day trip from Da Nang and is one of eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Vietnam. Book a grab, take the 1 hour trip and walk through its ruins.
7) Bach Dang Street
Bach Dang Street has a nice promenade along the Han River. Take in the views of the Son Tra Mountain, the river, and Da Nang’s bridges.
8) Tran Phu Street
Tran Phu Street is home to Han Market. On this street you’ll also find the Da Nang Cathedral, restaurants, cafes, boutique stores, and hotels. The Bikini Bottom Express has delicious Western food. An Thoi is a Michelin Bib Gourmand Vietnamese restaurant.
9) Dragon Bridge
The bridge is one of five main bridges in Da Nang that connects the city’s beachside with its cityside. The dragon’s mouth breathes fire and water on Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
10) Nguyen Van Troi Walking Bridge
This pedestrian-only bridge is the oldest bridge in Da Nang.
11) Coffee Shops
Vietnam is the second-largest coffee producer in the world. What coffees to try in Vietnam? Egg coffee, peanut coffee, salted coffee, and coconut coffee.
