HOTEL REVIEW The Lovina
My parents and I stayed at The Lovina for 1 night (July). The hotel is near Lovina Beach, Sekumpul Waterfalls and Banjar Hot Springs. Here is my hotel review of The Lovina.
This 4-star beach resort is located on the north coast of the island of Bali. When coming from the south of Bali, you’ll need to pass the mountains of Bedugul to reach the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful garden, a swimming pool with sun loungers and direct access to the beach. Free WiFi is available throughout the domain.
Fun Fact: Make sure to follow a yoga class in the morning.
Reception
The reception is the first thing you’ll encounter. It’s small but lovely. On arrival, we had the pleasure of receiving a welcome drink and a cold towel. The bell boy will take over your luggage and guide you to your room.
We had the suite with 2 rooms due to an upgrade made by the hotel. The value of this room is 240€ for 1 night (room for 4 persons). If you’d book it by yourself, you can receive a €15 cashback from booking.com afterward, which makes it cheaper. Click here to find my booking.com link, to receive €15 on your trip.
Eco Fact: Every guest at The Lovina receives a reusable water bottle. You’ll find water taps with clean water in the hotel where you can fill up your bottle. I was so ecstatic that a hotel is so eco-friendly!
Restaurant & Breakfast
The building next to the reception is the restaurant and breakfast. You can choose your breakfast from a buffet: noodles, waffles, eggs, bread, etc. I wasn’t impressed by the food but I was impressed by the view! Go sit on the first floor to have a magnificent view of the mountains and rice fields.
Bedroom
The suite is quite spacious. You have to bedrooms, one large kitchen, 1 living room, and 1 balcony. The living room and kitchen are connected and wide open. There is even a large closet to hide your luggage and a minibar.
Fun fact: There is shampoo and body wash available.
Eco Fact: Remeber that free water bottle? When entering the bathroom, all accessories are also eco-friendly (except for a minimum of plastic). The ear cotton and toothbrushes were all made of sustainable materials that could be recycled. Go Lovina!
Swimming pool
The swimming pool of The Lovina is great! There are pool towels available, sun loungers and you have direct access to the sea but most importantly the bar.
Beach
The sand in Lovina is black due to the volcanoes in that region. The beaches in Kusamba are also black. Never seen something like that!
Sad Fact: If you’re going on a dolphin trip like I did, you’ll just have to wait on the beach in front of the hotel. But the dolphin trip is actually a dolphin hunt, to try to see the tiniest bit of fin of a Dolphin. Such a shame.
So this was my Hotel Review of The Lovina. I hope I have given you a better look at the hotel.
