HOTEL REVIEW Rose Royal Boutique Hotel | Cambodia

Kimberly and I stayed at the Rose Royal Boutique Hotel for 4 nights (September). The hotel is near Pub street (a 10-minute walk) and an ATM (2-minute walk) but is hidden away in an alley. Here is my hotel review of the Rose Royal Boutique Hotel.

Reception

The reception is the first thing you’ll encounter. It’s small but lovely. On arrival, we had the pleasure of receiving a welcome drink and a cold towel. The receptionist will help you book tickets for Angkor Wat complex, Phare circus, Massage, etc. They don’t have a luggage room which we found a bit shady, but eventually, our luggages were still there.

We paid a total of 50€ for 4 nights (2 persons), quite alright don’t you think? We even received a €15 cashback from booking.com afterward, which made it cheaper for us. Click here to find my booking.com link, to receive €15 on your trip.

Restaurant & Breakfast

The reception, restaurant and breakfast share the same room. If you order breakfast, you’ll get a list with things of which you can choose 3 items. Our first breakfast didn’t go as well because we watched a rat running towards the kitchen. We immediately decided never to have dinner here. Okay so Siem Reap doesn’t have a sewer, so we understand those rats have to live somewhere but rather not in the hotel.

Bedroom

The bedroom is quite spacious. We had a desk with a chair, a minibar, another tiny table with two lounge chairs. We didn’t have a closet but we did have a coat rack where we could hang our clothes and were the hotel provided a bathrobe and two pairs of slippers.

Fun fact: The minibar is filled with 2 bottles of water for free per day.

Fun fact: The staff covered the bed with flowers each day. They even spelled my name out on the first day.

The bathroom was okay. The shower was a bit blocked with chalk so the water pressure was a bit weak (real task to get that conditioner out of my hair).

Fun fact: There is shampoo and body wash available.

Sad fact: We had a cockroach in the room. Those are hard to kill! Sorry to our neighbours for screaming but the cockroach TOUCHED my foot!

Swimming pool

The swimming pool of the Rose Royal Boutique Hotel was super! There are pool towels available, but make sure to take 2. The sunbeds are black and the pool towel is not big enough to cover the whole sunbed. It’ll get hot!

Fun fact: There is a lower part of the swimming pool, where you can lay down and be half covered in water. Ideal condition to read your book while cooling down.

So this was my Hotel Review of Rose Royal Boutique Hotel. I hope I have given you a better look at the hotel.
