Chocolate Nation

Can’t get enough of Belgian chocolate? Always wanted to be Willy Wonka? Then you should visit Chocolate Nation, the largest Belgian Chocolate Museum in the world!

You first enter a room and soon the doors close and your adventure begins. In the museum, you follow the beans from a cocoa plantation to the port in Antwerp and see how Belgian chocolate is then made from it. We immediately went on a trip to the other side of the world where the cocoa bean is grown. The whole process was explained in great detail until we arrived at the large chocolate factory in Belgium.

Innovative

Every time a door opens to a new space and we learn more about the chocolate process. In the museum, the story of Belgian chocolate is explained very visually. We also had to sit at a virtual table and enjoy a magical spectacle (such a shame I couldn’t eat it!).

Tasting

The last room is my favorite. There are 10 large containers with different flavors of liquid chocolate rotating. Normally you can taste all the flavors however when I was visiting during COVID we couldn’t.

Chocolate Nation for Kids

Kids have to search through the museum for the little chocolatier, there is one hidden in every room. But keep your eyes open, there are also real chocolatiers at work!
